" The Nation newspaper has misinterpreted the afrobarometer report"

 

In today's front page of the nation, there was a heading 

" 89% feel malawi is on a wrong path"

In case as the Democratic support has gone down from 78% from 2011.

However some individual has crashed this point saying it has been misinterpreted by the writer. 

In the opinion article released by the Nyasatimes, he or she said the afrobarometer clearly states that the report was an African wide trend and not a malawian one

The opinion article continues to say the report 's findings suggest that most Africans still prefer democracy rejecting non Democratic alternatives and endorsing core Democratic norms , institutions and practices. 

At the end the article corrects and highlights admission to misinterpretation of the report and that the nation newspaper should shape a particular narrative, rather than providing readers with an accurate and balanced account of the report's finding.
